At the 2014 festival of speed they announced this. They said if not next year then 2016 they would do it. So, Here’s hoping they follow through and we get to hear an amazing engine note of an opposed-16 (Technically it’s a 180 deg. Vee-16, but I see a pan pizza of cylinders.)

I stared at that magical monstrosity for a good 5 minutes at the Porsche Museum. Terrible, wonderful, and stupefying all at once.
